Sunday Morning Congregation
Everyone is welcome at our services and no special or formal dress is required.
At Cornerstone Elim we have a very open style of worship. During the service we will sing, pray and give expression to the gifts of the Spirit. Please feel free to stand and sit during worship, however you feel most comfortable. At some time during the service someone will preach.
Where and When?
10:30am at Cornerstone Elim Church, High Street, Silverdale, Newcastle-under-Lyme, ST56Ly
Children and Youth
Children are very welcome at Cornerstone Elim.
We have 4 separate groups.
-
We have a Little Fish creche for 2-5's. It is a bright room with lots of age appropriate toys and activities. Our staff team lead Bible stories, crafts and songs.
-
If your child is under 2 you're welcome to stay in the service, or we ask a parent/carer to make use of the area next to the kitchen which has activities for your young ones, but is not staffed.
-
Age 5-11 children (reception class up to the end of year 6) can join with Big Fish Sunday, who have their own activities during the service in our upstairs Big Fish room. This starts at approximately 11 am. There's always lots of noise and action in Big Fish, so please do talk to us if your child has any particular needs; we want everyone to feel welcome and part of the fun at Big Fish.
-
At Cornerstone Community Centre we hold our Youth Church, for those in High School, which starts at approximately 11am (youth meet in main church then go to Cornerstone) and includes relevant teaching, prayer and worship!
Communion
We believe that the bread and wine are symbolic of the body and blood of Jesus, so we participate in the communion service to remember that He died because of our wrong doings. Anyone who knows Jesus as their saviour is welcome to take part.
